Our Story

My obsession with horses began at three years old in a small town in Maine. By the age of seven, I was finally learning to ride, and that’s where I got my first taste of authentic Western style. I completely idolized the cowgirls who worked the horse ranches where I rode. When I was twelve, I got the first of my three horses, and at fourteen, I finally wore down my dad and begged him for my first pair of real cowboy boots. I wore those Resistol boots to school every single day for four straight years—and yes, I still wear them to this day!

Around that same time, I started spending my summers working at a local ranch for horse camp. Eventually, I was tasked with helping break the young, new horses and training them to be sound and gentle enough for the children to ride. I spent every single summer on that ranch until I graduated high school and left for college.

Although my path took me to the other side of the country—and eventually across the world—my love for the West never faded. When I finally moved back stateside in September of 2025, I knew it was time to turn that lifelong passion into reality.

Satin & Spur officially opened its doors on May 23, 2026. Today, we are still a true one-woman show. From digging through dusty racks to curation, I am proud to say I hand-source every single piece myself to bring you authentic, timeless Western wear with a history of its own.
